Thrill Vintage is a furniture and consignment store in Arlington Heights, IL, known for its curated mix of vintage furniture, lighting, and accessories. The shop’s vignettes and fair pricing make it a local favorite—and this project holds a special place personally.

The engagement was focused on logo and storefront identity, from early mood boards through to seeing the mark installed in the wild.

Exploration and direction

  • Built an initial mood board to capture the feel of the shop: warm, nostalgic, and a little bit eclectic
  • Explored a range of logo concepts that could live comfortably on glass, awnings, and printed materials

Logo development

  • Iterated through early concepts to find a balance between vintage character and everyday readability
  • Tested lockups on storefront mockups to understand scale, legibility, and how the mark would interact with the architecture

In the wild

  • Final logo applied to the front window as clean, elegant signage
  • Wordmark variant extended to awnings and other exterior applications

Seeing the Thrill Vintage identity installed on the actual storefront brought the project full circle—from mood board to concepts, to a mark that welcomes customers in off the street.
