Fontaine Specialized
Fontaine Specialized manufactures a broad range of lowbed (lowboy) trailers for the construction industry. They cater to dealers, fleet managers, and independent owners by building and customizing heavy duty flatbed trailers configured to meet each customers need. They came to Steel Croissant for a new website, and an overhaul of their branding identity through graphic design, marketing campaigns and SEO. My work included Art Direction, website development and collaboration with Steel Croissant on all initiatives over several years.
Fontaine Specialized is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty lowbed, extendable, and hydraulic tail trailers, serving industries that require robust transportation solutions. As a sister company to Fontaine Trailers, their website needed to reflect their reputation for innovation while incorporating powerful lead-generation tools to support their dealer network and sales teams.
Project overview
The Fontaine Specialized website was built as both a product education hub and a lead engine:
- Give customers and dealers a clear way to explore specialized trailers.
- Capture and route high‑intent leads to sales.
- Support the broader brand with a modern, usable experience.
Key features
Custom trailer configurator
An interactive configuration flow lets visitors:
- Select trailer types and capacities.
- Explore options by application.
- Submit tailored requests based on their needs.
The tool mirrors the logic used on Fontaine Trailer’s main site, but tuned for specialized lines.
CRM integration
Leads from the configurator, contact forms, and dealer inquiries are passed directly into the CRM so sales can:
- See full context on what a prospect configured.
- Respond faster with relevant options.
- Track pipeline coming from the site.
Store locator (StoreRocket)
A StoreRocket‑powered locator helps users:
- Find nearby dealers by geography.
- Filter by capabilities and offerings.
- Get directions and contact details quickly.
This shortens the path from research to talking with the right partner.
Product and dealer content
- Each trailer model has a dedicated page with specs, imagery, and downloadable PDFs.
- Calls‑to‑action encourage quote or dealer contact at logical points.
- Dealers get a central reference for current product details.
Impact
Since launch, Fontaine Specialized has seen:
- Higher‑quality inbound leads driven by the configurator and forms.
- Better sales efficiency through CRM automation.
- Smoother dealer discovery via the improved locator.
The site shows how digital tools can simplify complex purchase decisions in a heavy‑equipment category, while reinforcing Fontaine Specialized’s position as a leader in the space.
