Trading Bear Co. is a consumer electronics brand with a loosely connected catalog of gadgets, from UV phone sanitizers to wireless chargers. They needed packaging that could unify the line and feel credible on a crowded shelf.

Our work focused on designing a flexible packaging system that tied all products together while still giving each item its own moment.

Packaging challenge

  • Multiple SKUs with different sizes and use cases
  • No strong visual thread connecting the assortment
  • Need for packaging that feels modern, trustworthy, and retail-ready

Approach

  • Developed a core carton structure with shared dielines, inserts, and seals
  • Explored families of concepts, from bright, color-blocked layouts to more minimal black-and-white systems
  • Balanced lifestyle photography, product visuals, and clear information hierarchy so customers immediately understand what they are buying

Concept development

  • Round 1: High-color explorations (red, blue, yellow) to test bold, differentiated options
  • Round 2: Refined black-and-white concepts that leaned into a more premium, tech-forward look
  • Iterated on typography, iconography, and label systems to support new products over time

The final packaging system gives Trading Bear Co. a recognizable shelf presence and a repeatable structure, making it easier to launch new gadgets without starting from scratch each time.
